Fire Place is my go-to breakfast spot.
They open at 07:00 on weekdays, except Monday, and boast a menu filled with things you won’t find anywhere else in Vilnius.
First, there’s Vietnamese iced coffee, cà phê sữa đá, which tastes exactly like the one you may have sipped under the warmth of the Southeast Asian sun. Next, there’s shakshouka – a dish of poached eggs in a tomato-based sauce, with a freshly baked warm pita on the side.
The spot has a wood-fired oven and that’s the only place your warm food and pitas will be coming from. The open kitchen is based right behind the bar, so if you’re curious, you can take a seat and watch your meal being prepared.
And if you ask nicely, they may even bake you a pizza.
