Former President Adamkus to be inducted in Lithuanian American Hall of Fame

CHICAGO – The National Lithuanian American Hall of Fame has announced that former Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus will be one of three Lithuanians inducted this year in the hall of fame. He will be joined by Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture founder Stanley Balzekas along with a 3rd inductee to be announced.

The Class of 2017 National Lithuanian American Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Oct. 14 at the Lithuanian World Center in Chicago. The event is open to the public with tickets going on sale next week.

Previous hall of fame inductees: Class of 2013: Ruta Lee, Dick Butkus, Johnny Unitas, Class of 2015: Ann Jillian, Vyto Ruginis, Arnold Voketaitis.
