Lithuanian rowers become world champions

SARASOTA, FLORIDA – 20 year old Dovydas Nemeravičius, 30 year old Martynas Džiaugys, 25 year old Rolandas Maščinskas and 24 year old Aurimas Adomavičius of Lithuania became world champions by winning the gold medal in the men’s quadruple sculls on Saturday at the 2017 World Rowing Championships in Sarasota, Florida in the USA.

This is the first time in history that Lithuania has won any medal in the men’s quadruple sculls at the world championship.

Great Britain took the silver medal and Estonia won the bronze medal

Lithuania is undefeated this 2017 rowing season, winning World Rowing Cup I and III as well as the European Rowing Championships.
