MIKHAIL BARYSHNIKOV BECOMES CITIZEN OF LATVIA

(Riga) – The world famous ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov as of April 27, 2017 has become a citizen of Latvia.
“While I left Latvia more than fifty years ago, I spent my first sixteen years there, and those formative years have served as the foundation for all things to follow in my lifetime. Not only did I receive my important early education in Riga, but it was also there that my exposure to the arts led me to discover my future destiny as a performer. I have remained grateful for this exposure, and will retain my gratitude for it forever,” Mr. Baryshnikov had said in his application.
