MILAN – AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan signed small forward Mindaugas Kuzminskas for the remainder of the season, the club announced Monday.
Kuzminskas (2.05 meters, 28 years old) played for New York in the NBA last season, during which he averaged 6.3 points in 68 games. He made one appearance for the team this season before he was waived.
Kuzminskas returns to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, where he previously played three seasons apiece for Zalgiris Kaunas in his native Lithuania and for Unicaja Malaga in Spain. He averaged 12.0 points over 23 EuroLeague games for Unicaja during the 2015-16 season.
Kuzminskas’s trophy case includes a pair of EuroBasket silver medals won with the Lithuanian national team and three Lithuanian League championships, two Lithuanian Cups and a pair of Baltic League titles with Zalgiris.
